Our School
Living Waters Christian Academy is located at 5
Grove Drive West, Spruce Grove, Alberta. Our campus is on 9 acres of
land off of Campsite Road between Highways 16 and 16a.
Our facilities include16 classrooms, a library, science lab, music/band room, computer lab, kitchen, and full-sized gymnasium with a weight room. There is an abundance of playground space adjacent to the school, which our students use during recess and lunchtime. Students also enjoy using the beautiful TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre, which is a block north of Living Waters.
In 1992, a group of parents who felt that
Christian education was a necessity for their children gathered to begin
the process of starting a Christian school in Spruce Grove. After much
prayer, dedication and hard work; within 5 months they opened the doors
of Living Waters that September. The school started with 2 teachers and
23 students in grades 1-5 in a strip mall in Stony Plain. In 1994
Living Waters relocated to our present building and we have grown into
the school we are today, offering students a quality education that is
firmly rooted in the Word of God.
Each school day begins with staff prayer meeting and class devotions. Students are encouraged to pray for one another, lead devotions, and to share their concerns and thanksgivings. We have weekly chapel services for both the elementary and junior/senior students and once a month we have an all school chapel.
