Derek McNeil Memorial Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to the current grade 9 student with the highest academic average in the 5 core subjects (English, Socials, Math, Science, Religious Studies) who attends Living Waters for grade 10.  The award is applied to 10 months of tuition for the grade 10 year. This scholarship was established in memory of Derek McNeil who passed away after several years of struggle with ALS. The McNeil family is part of our school community and value the school’s support for their family.

Lois Curry Leadership Scholarship

This $500 scholarship is awarded to the current grade 10 student who demonstrates passionate involvement in the activities of Living Waters and is enrolled for grade 11. Because positive action does not require position, the successful applicant is not required to hold official leadership title. The quality of the student’s involvement is the key. The focus of this award is on school based involvement only. This award will be applied to the annual tuition for the grade 11 year. Reference from two teachers and/or coaches is required. This is not an academic scholarship; however, the applicants must pass all their grade 10 courses in order to qualify. This scholarship was established in honour of Lois Curry’s commitment to establish a Christian school that develops godly character in young people. Her selfless and energetic pursuit of that vision helped to establish Living Waters as a quality Christ centred school in this community.
